Biography
|
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wayne D. Vander Jagt studied art at The University of New Mexico, Kendall School of Design and Grand Valley State College. He served as a technical illustrator for the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a self employed artist/craftsman for nine years in Michigan, where he sold his works to shops and to the public at art fairs.
Wayne worked as a designer/draftsman for several engineering and architectural firms for the next twenty seven years. Earlier this year he wrote and illustrated a children's book for his grandson Evan. He's been painting tropical paintings and selling limited prints around south Florida
