Biography

I have never been formerly trained in art except up to 'A' level Art and a night school class in Airbrushing to learn the basics. Everything else I have done through practice and experimentation. This is probably the part of art I enjoy most, the discovery of new effects and techniques, although some of the traditional methods still allude me now. Oils and watercolours certainly are not a strong point for me but I do give it a go, sometimes with dramatic effect. I studied GCSE Graphic Design in 1989, achieving grade A, followed by 'A' level Art in 1991. I had lost a lot of interest in school by this time, so I didn't achieve the grades I was expected to get. My apologies go to my art teacher Mr.Fletcher, who always believed in my skills even if I didn't use them to the best of my abilities back then. My family has always been very supportive of my artwork and all the harebrained ideas I have had over the years, especially my dad who has always been the financial support of my endeavours. Thankyou Pops!
Family is the most important thing in my life. Having grown up in a warm and loving family, for which I am very grateful, having my daughter in August 1998 was the most precious and significant moment in my life. From that moment on I was a mother, which even now astounds me when I think of what I was like 10 years ago, saying I would never have kids. she is a little blonde bombshell! And as she says to me 'I love you mummy, you're my best friend.' Makes my heart melt everytime! I now can pride myself on being a expert on childrens' television, I know sad isn't it, but if you don't know the names of all the Tweenies, as a parent that is unforgivable!! Some of my inspiration has come from my daughter, as has my recent separation inspired me to start writing a book, which I am hoping will one day be published. The feedback I have had so far has been very positive, so watch this space! I also dabble in songwriting and poetry but this is more of a pastime than anything.

Statement
|
My art began as a hobby but I am now hoping to use it commercially. Airbrush is one of the easiest ways to realize the most fantastic concepts of imagry, thats what I love most about it.I have included some of my other medium works, which i also enjoy doing from time to time.
The pieces showen are not for sale however they are an indication of what can be achieved.
