Biography
|
I am a self-taught artist from India, and now live in Culver City with my husband and our two adorable dogs.
I used to work in water colors, but was inspired by artists Gary Greene and Bet Borgeson to switch to color pencils. Artist Sarah Theophilus, who produces beatiful, lifelike works of animals inspired me to try oil pastels. Both media are versatile, producing a variety of effects. They are also portable, and hence convenient to use.

Statement
|
My mission is to produce and sell interesting paintings at affordable prices. My work represents the kind of art I appreciate - not abstract, not surreal, just beautiful pieces of work that tell of the artist's joy and appreciation of the natural beauty we are surrounded by.

If you've never seen my work before, it's because I've only recently decided to sell my art. They were painted because of my sheer love of painting, and to decorate the house. This August I produced more paintings than we had wall space to hang. So, I offer them here, and hope you will enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed producing them. Starfish was painted in September. It is my first September painting. I am now working on one of the seashore.
