Artistic expression has been second nature to me since I was a young child. Although I have explored many different mediums I always come back to the pencil. For me there is something wonderful about the raw and sensuous act of guiding a sharpened pencil lead across a sheet of paper that all the paint, sculpture and computer generation in the world cannot supply. This is to me the shortest distance between inspiration and action. In contrast to all the other artists' tools within my reach, each graphite mark on my paper is still warm from the fire of my imagination. It has little time to cool as it might while I labor with other mediums. Immediate and feverishly expressed inspiration is marvelous. My art comes straight from the center of who I am, in both concept and execution.
Through the years I have worked as an advertising artist, illustrator, draftsman and musician. The adventure continues.

Why in the world would I use the tremendous amount of talent I have been given to express the common thought, to speak of the mundane and waste my efforts trying to carve out my own little part of life's mediocrate? I see things others don't and this exhibit is only a sample of the power of my eyes.
