I am a Self taught Artist. My name is Sherry Chapel.I was born in Battle Creek MI. In 1973 and raised here. I am A RAW ARTIST witch is a self-taught abstract painter.Painting is my passion. The way I express myself. Like love, you know it when you see it. self-taught individuals, usually without formal training, whose works arise from an innate personal vision that revels foremost in the creative act itself." In short, visionary art begins by listening to the inner voices of the soul, and often may not even be thought of as 'art' by its creator.

Our lives are a mix of many emotions, love, loss, pain, joy, romance, disenchantment, etc. I try to incorporate all of these themes in my work. You will find as much darkness as well as light in my pieces. Also, one will notice that I try not to stay in a certain media, always searching for another pathway to express myself. My belief and emphasis is not on technique, but rather the final visual image portrayed.
