Guimo has not stopped painting since he was a child growing up in Cotes-d'Armor. However, it is not the sea that fascinates him, but rather mankind.
In his paintings, he introduces a collection of characters both tender and innocent, sometimes pathetic, often tragic.
Fine observer of real life, he reinvents it, in a sharpness tinged with dream, somewhere between reality and imagination.
In scenes of quiet intimacy, bathed in daylight, oil is shiny and smooth, or delicate and pointillist..
