Hi, my name is Chelsea Noyon, I'm 18 years old and have been creating art for about 2 and a half years now. I use mostly pencil in my artwork as that's what enjoy using most. I have tried painting, curious what the colours of painting may bring to my artwork, but I was not as happy with the result. I would like to continue paining again but for now I will stick with drawing. Drawing is now my passion, besides my horses. I have 3 horses of my own, I've owned horses for almost 11 years, and in those years I've had the opportunity to study their every hair, muscle, and vein. I had decided one day to pick up a pencil and copy that on paper and somehow this felt so right. Ever since I've been trying to juggle my art, the horses and school resulting in very few pieces of work that are actually complete to my liking. I hope to build up my portfolio and join a gallery soon. I plan on venturing to Europe and trying to have my art take flight there, I can only hope I will have the exposure I would love. I want to inspire people and I live in a small community so there are few people who get to view my work.
I use pencils from 2H - 8B and have tried pencil crayons in a couple of my works. I use mainly bristol board as my canvas and (I know this is frowned upon apparently in the drawing world) simple my fingers for shading.
I was homeschool my entire life so university will be a big step for me. I want to pursue equine genetics and put that into my future with horses. I also plan for something in the field of dressage riding, what I don't know yet.
Thanks for your time! :)
