Biography

L. Marie Scott is an award winning writer and artist. Her Poetry has been published in collective work books and has won many awards in the fantasy and wiccan communities. Her Paintings and photos are currently in private collections worldwide. Born in Glasgow Scotland she now works from her studio in Ontario,Canada where she lives with her husband and children. A solitary witch for most of life, Louise takes her inspiration from witchcraft and her Celtic background. Her paintings and stories come from legends and folklore of myth and magick.

Statement

Up until 3 years ago my main media was writing poetry, short stories and creating new spells and ways of celebrating the sabbats. Then I heard the quiet whisper of the paint and canvas speak to me. They said.. "all these beautiul images put down into words, why not bring them to life and create a world of colour and fantasy". So I did.
I am primarily self taught, but art, much like witchcraft is a constant learning experience, with new adventures just around each corner. I take classes and learn new techniques whenever I can. And now that once bare canvas is a playground of bewitching colours and enchanted images.
