Biography
|
John works in oils, acrylics and watercolors. He is also an avid photographer. John owns his own graphic arts & advertising agency in Walnut Creek, California.
Born in Seattle, John has won scholarships and awards for his painting and has been exhibited at Seattle Art Museum, Frederick & Nelson's, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, PA and numerous private galleries. Locally he has exhibited at Lafayette Studios, John Muir Hospital, Lafayette Art & Wine, and recently had a one-artist retrospect at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church. John is currently in a group show at AC5 - Art Passages in Martinez, CA. He is a member of Lamorinda Arts Alliance.

Statement

"I paint for the FUN of it. My subjects vary from seascapes and landscapes to impressionistic, most all from my imagination. I urge my students to have FUN, be free and accept the serendipity of the watercolor experience."

Through October 2017 - Group show, ATRIA of Walnut Creek. Six watercolors on exhibit along with two other artists.
PAST:
March - June 2017 CWA Different Perspective Show, Delta Gallery, Brentwood, CA. Took 1st Place Award with "Opening Day".
