Statement
|
Since his childhood, he has had a very strong bonding with art. All his gains and failures in life were expressed through his paintings. Being a self-taught artist, he was born with the gift of transmitting what he sees and feels to a piece of paper. Along his 35 years of life, he has perfected his technique. Having high studies of Anatomy and Physiology was fundamental to catch the human figure. Using materials so common as coal or cotton, he manages to express life in his portraits; the penetrating eyes, the nature of gestures, the almost tangible textures. the expression of real life. All these qualities have made Edgardo a very fine artist; an artist that sees people beyond a simple photograph; an artist that interprets the feelings of others and is able to translate that into a self-explanatory portrait.
