About my prints:
All my prints are of exhibition quality, produced using the highest standards of photographic processing. Starting with the RAW image, the photograph is fine tuned through several digital techniques to bring out the uniquely expressive quality of each image. To produce my prints I use only the finest quality archival papers and dye based pigments as these materials have been shown to produce far more stable, more brilliant and long lasting images. Mounting and matting are performed by hand using the best archival quality mat board available. With the image completed, each print is hand signed, numbered, dated & titled in pencil to ensure the authenticity of the final product.

Statement

Living in the American Southwest affords me opportunities most photographers only dream of. For most people, visiting here is a two week vacation. I have the privilege to live here year around, surrounded by some of the most awe inspiring scenery, magnificent wildlife, and colorful flora in all of creation. These are opportunities I am attempting to exploit and enjoy to the fullest.
For as long as I can remember I have been intrigued by the interplay of light and shadow, color and contrast, the texture of a leaf or the forms contained on a mountain side. In my teen years this interest lead me to photography. I believe that while most people look at the world, a photographer *sees* the world around him. And sometimes the photographer sees the world, not as it is, but as it was meant to be, catching a glimpse of the beauty that may be hidden to others.
For me, seeing the photograph is just the beginning of the creative process. A photograph should represent a moment in time, capturing and containing it completely. If successful, this captured moment may then shared with others, allowing them to experience what I have seen. I use traditional and alternative photographic techniques as well as digital treatment to create a complete image.
The images here represent some of my favorites. It is my sincere hope that you will enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy sharing them. Feel free to provide comments, critiques or constructive criticism of anything posted here.
If you find a photograph that you especially enjoy, please let me know. One of the great possibilities of the web is it's ability to connect kindred spirits.
