Hi, Alex,
I finally got my pc up-hope this time for good. You know I always like your works. Your biography is very interesting as well. I can definitely relate to many issues thay you've faced and facing in the art world. I agree, it's not all easy nor fun and games. But, we enjoy our talents and blessings through the experiences of being with and relating to others.
I've admired your works since we first met at the federal building in the early 90s. From that moment on, I began to spot a identify murals as being your creations. I've been right a very high percentage of the time.
You deserve more publicity, though. Your artwork is great! I just want more people to identify your work and think of your name immediately. Most people I talk to see or have seen some of your murals but fail to know the name Alexander Austin. I make sure to mention your name as often as possible so that people can identify your works with your name here in Kansas City, Mo.
Alex, I hope you don't mind my calling you Alex. If not, let me know. I was wondering what artist(s) influenced you the most over the years--even during your childhood? I was also wondering if there might be a chance that we could some day work on a small painting together? I'm not a great artist. But, you are to me. The master artists of the Great Renaissance worked together at some point and enhanced each other's talents. I thought, maybe, that you, another/other artist(s) of your choosing, and I could get together some day and do a project together.
I'm off work, today. I will paint a pic of a camaro; work on 1 or 2 masks; and begin a religious scene on a board.
I think your website is great! I like the way your site pertains to art and not just advertisements of other natures that do not promote art at all. Visual art deserves it rightfully honorable place in society. I think you're doing a very good job in maintaining and exemptling the positive aspects of art in our communities, Alex.
Thank you for being a well-needed influence in my life.
I no longer have the phone # I gave you a couple of months ago. My work # is 426-5520 M-F. My website http://www.freewebs.com/kozar2
will have new pics asap.
Sincerely,
Curtis
