The 3rd edition of Art and Life is convened
Painters, photographers, sculptors, gallery owners, art lovers and buyers from all over the world are making the aims of ORIGINAL SOLIDARITY come true: showing that the link between art and solidarity is possible and necessary.
We have shown how.
Throughout the first two editions of its campaign, ORIGINAL SOLIDARITY has linked up with international artists who have donated close-on one thousand works, originals and in small format, so that the profits made through their sale goes towards realising the different projects organised by UNICEF, Save the Children and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation of India.
In this way we have contributed to the building of a house in Anantapur, India, for Narasimhulu, work undertaken by the Vicente Ferrer Foundation of India.
With Save the Children, we have collaborated on the project that guarantees the children of Yunnan, Anhui, Xinjiang (China) and Tibet access to basic sanitary services; on the equipping of a Health Centre for Disadvantaged Children in Tetuan (Morocco); and improving the life conditions of the children living amidst the armed conflicts in the outskirts of Medellin and Bogota (Colombia). Save the Children used the amount received from the first edition for buying food and medicines that alleviated the effects on children of the crisis that hit Argentina.
Together with Unicef we were able to provide drinking water and healthcare for Iraqi women and children who are victims of the current conflict.
This is just the beginning, however.
The energy that ORIGINAL SOLIDARITY produces and which is transmitted by each and every one of us that are making it happen is present in the new edition we are now starting up. And to which, from this page, we invite you to take part in.
