Statement
|
Since the Birth of my first child my creative work has changed a great deal. My work has develped into a much more personal exploration in clay.
Currently my work forcuses on my heritage as an African-American male and my role a parent. Like most people the birth of a child caused me to re-evaluate a great many things in my life.
More importantly, it caused me to ask the question, "What do I have to offer my children as a father? As an African-American what is my people's story, where is my 'Old Country?'"
These questions have formed the basis of my present work
