Statement

I would describe my artwork as intense and vivid, often with an unusual perspective point. I love to do photo-realism paintings, but always with a unique viewpoint for the viewer. I have a hard time creating `neutral' colored paintings, and even when I do they are usually intense in another way other than color.
I began drawing and painting at a very young age. As a child I enjoyed creating and painting and was always asking for a new how-to art book to dive into. Drawing was and is my true talent, and painting well I have always had to work hard for. Of course painting was my passion and still is, and perfecting the use of colors, shading and so on has become a personal obsession.
I enjoy artistic styles of all kinds, but prefer realism, and more specifically, surrealism. Of all imaginative journeys, surrealism seems to me to be the ultimate method of expression. Landscapes, peoples and places that can only exist in the mind born out on canvas is like being able to invite a friend to step into your dreams with you at night.
I also strive for the perfect combinations of color that will dazzle the mind and renew the spirit. A perfect combination of light and color that will refresh the imagination of the viewer and inspire them. And finally, I love art for it's ability to evoke emotion. Even the simplest abstract can be a proud patriotic statement or anything else. I want viewers to be glad they viewed my art and leave them thinking, wondering, and inspired personally.
