This painting depicts the view from the road to the North Shore. I was struck by this image with it's plants, colors and the character of the buildings. Beautiful subject for watercolor.

Kaneohe Bay

The light and atmosphere of Kaneohe Bay seems to be constantly changing. The sky and the colors of the water change in color and in patterns of light and dark. This watercolor depicts the view from where I lived in Hawaii.

Pacific Heights Victorian

Pacific Heights is located in Honolulu up on a mountainside near the Pali highway. What I liked about this house is it's character and the texture of the aging wood. I also love the "gingerbread" design of the architecture.

St. Maries Tug

This type of riverboat was used to jockey giant logs down the river and to the mill. While on a canoe trip in Northern Idaho, I spotted this antique boat, when it was in a makeshift dry dock. Because of it's fantastic old lines and textures I liked this image as a subject for a watercolor.

Morning Light

Beautiful light and reflections are the subject of this original
