Here you see at first the typical style of Picchio, his Segment-Art. Then there are 21 hands painted on semitransparent hexagon plates of glass fiber reinforced with epoxy resin in distances of 5 to 7 cm from the canvas. Under each hexagon plate LED lights are mounted, which fade smoothly on and off, controlled by a light-processor. In the night the hands are like shadows. So there is a contemporary artwork and light-art in one.

Gentiana

Luce e ombra (people)

This painting belongs to the serie "Luce e ombra" (light and shadow).
