I took the image from an old photo of my Mom. I think she was at an amusement park or something. It's probably from the 40's. I love this photo and have it setting out in my home. The original is in black and white, of course, so I improvised on the colors. It has already been sold, but I received a lot of positive feedback on it, so I'm including it in my online work. One is sitting on the fence and the other is trying to get into a garbage can. There's an owl watching over the scene. It's signed, titled and dated. It has been sprayed with a protective gloss coating. The scene does extend around the sides of the gallery wrapped canvas. He was in WW1 and this is him in his uniform. The photo is in black and white, so I did some research to try and find out the color of the uniform. I believe this to be accurate. They were called "doughboys". I did not include the background from the photo, it was too blurry. But he was standing in front of a tent and someone must have asked him to pose. I thought it might be good to put it in the history category.
