My art is worked in acrylic on canvas and for the most part is figurative in a sort of realistic/impressionist style. Topics are many and varied and inspired quite often by topical events. Many of my paintings depict tsunami, mainly the aftermath and its effect on the survivors, but also a series of tsunami waves. Other topics include golf, ballet, dance and also portraits. I aim to capture the essence the subject in an emotional sense, or the movement - capturing the moment so to speak.
