Biography
|
|
Monte has been exhibiting his work since 1962. Over the past decades he has explored a variety of media. More often than not the work has been abstractive or semi-abstractive in nature. Public murals on downtown walls and the interior of churches is an important aspect of his career. Since 1992, Monte has continued his mixed media paintings on canvas but also creates multiple, digital prints using adobe photoshop.

Statement

I believe that an artist is bombarded by countless images. I respond to both the real world and the plethora of images in magazines, books, T.V. and newspapers. Searching and exploring new techniques and imagery is my aim as an artist.
