Biography
|
|
Wayne J. Tirone was raised in the rural New England town of Middlefield, Connecticut (USA).
He enrolled at Paier College of Art in 1990 and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with illustration as his concentration. Upon graduating his conceptual editorial and whimsical illustrations
were published including in, The Hartford Courant and regularly for Teaching K-8 magazine.
After several years out of college Tirone began to explore landscape painting in oil and it is
now one of his main motifs. The fascinating color harmonies in his paintings
have been described as resembling crushed gemstones. He has several styles he is
adept at and can create a painterly landscape in oil to a whimsical children's book style painting
depending on his inclination.

Statement
|
|
"My main interest in painting is to push creative color and to create art that
evokes a mood utilizing color relationships, light and shadow. The motif I'm
most interested in now is landscape which may have something to do with my
having grown up in rural Connecticut. I have great respect and admiration
for nature and living in a part of the country where I can see all of the changes
in seasons only strengthens that appreciation. Music is very important to my
painting process and it is often a means to heighten my senses and helps me
to focus. To me fine art is about communicating without words what cannot
be said with words."
