Biography
|
Christopher Pecharka is a versatile artist who is comfortable working in many mediums, such as painting in oils and watercolors, drawing, carving, and sculpting. Pecharka graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he studied graphic design, advertising, and illustration. His 26 year career as a professional artist includes sculpting models and large scale props for the Hollywood entertainment industry, museum exhibits, architectural landscape design, cartooning, illustration, apparel design, murals, and privately commissioned paintings and sculptures.
Pecharka is currently writing and illustrating a series of children's adventure novels and plans to publish his first novel within the year. His home and art studio is in Dana Point, California which he shares with his fiancé Tracey and their dog, Sancho.

Pecharka is well known locally for creating the bronze "The Top Men" located adjacent to the tall ship Pilgrim along with his many other works of art at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, California.
His oil paintings are exhibited in several art galleries and businesses throughout South Orange County, California.
Pecharka is also the sculptor of his second public commission, a Veteran's Memorial sculpture, to be unveiled in Dana Point, California in the near future.
