Helga Pikal was born in former Czechoslovakia,spend years living in Germany(in and around Munich)and is now based and working in Ireland(Connemara.Helga started to make her One-of-a-kind Character Art Dolls about 18 years ago and had exhibitions all over Ireland.Her Dolls,(most popular characters are WITCHES,FAIRIES and WIZARDS)were sold worldwide.
In the last 2 years she experimented in CREATIVE HAND EMBROIDERY,studying various embroidery techniques of different cultures.The result of her work led to a successfull exhibition in the "Townhall Theatre Galway" in fall 2007.Helgas embroidery design is based on Tibetan Mandalas,Magic symbols,Seahorses,Turtles,Mythology.
