KEJ ?
Vu par Souchaud et Pollacci...
KEJ est un artiste parisien, qui regulierement expose a Paris et a travers toute l'Europe.
Ne en 1959, il appartient a cette generation d'artistes prospectifs et decapants.
Tantot peintre, graffiteur, mail-artiste, performeur, il ne cesse d'interpeller le spectateur avec des images exemptes de toute bonne maniere picturale.
En melant d'anciennes techniques, comme la tempera, a de plus modernes, comme l'acrylique, il nous interroge sur ce que peut-etre la peinture aujourd'hui.
Ses ?uvres peuvent etre lues comme une interaction entre la gestuelle graphique urbaine elaboree comme un langage et la reappropriation personnelle et interieure de sa propre primitivite.
En 1996, le CD-ROM intitule "L'Art present : Rencontre avec des artistes vivant et travaillant en France", edite par le magazine Artension, le rattache au primitivisme urbain.
En 2001, le cineaste Morya T. lui consacre un film documentaire intitule "KEJ en cage", produit par Intuitive Films.

KEJ is a Parisian artist, who regularly exhibits in Paris and all over Europe.
Born in 1959, he belongs to that young generation of caustic avant-garde artists.
At anyone time a painter, a graffiti artist, a mail-artist, or a performance artist, he questions the audience with his pictures free from all pictorial good manner.
By mixing ancient techniques, like tempera, with more modern ones, like acrylic painting, he questions what painting can be today.
His works can be read like an interaction between the urban graphic body movements, used like a language, and the inner personal redefinition of his own primitivity.
In 2001, the film maker Morya T. makes a documentary film based on KEJ's work, entitled "KEJ en cage" and produced by Intuitive Films.
