Having a lifetime interest in fine art and paintings, and developing her skills at a very young age, Patricia Seitz loves to be challenged artistically. Patricia spent her earlier years in California with her Mother a painter, and her grandparents whom collected art. At sixteen, Patricia had suffered a serious illness which resulted in the partial loss of her sight.
Her painting approach is by using warms and cools with subtle detail. Patricia feels that extreme detail becomes tiring and leaves nothing to the imagination.
Patricia enjoys exploring subjects on an intimate level getting to know her subject, striving to gather as much information as possible prior to beginning a painting. She gravitates to subjects whereby rich color, and light are of primary focus, and the subject matter presents a degree of difficulty.
Patricia's first love is working with oil medium, although, she will often experiment with water color and pastels. Her favorite subject matter is landscapes, water, and shores. She paints in a style that borders realism while maintaining an impressionistic view. Most of Patricia's work is based on her personal experiences. Patricia's artistic goal is to a productive artist, and to bring beauty to the world.
