Paul Carganilla

Biography
My name is Paul. Seven years ago I met the girl of my dreams in a college acting class. We soon became very good friends. We spent the next 4-and-a-half years growing personally and overcoming many obstacles. Finally, in November of 2004, we started dating. She was attending school in New York City at the time, and I was working in Anaheim, so we spent the first year-and-a-half of our relationship a COUNTRY apart. We overcame that obstacle, however, and six months after she moved home to Southern California, I asked her to be my wife. (You can view the video of the wedding proposal athttp://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=6750441 ). We are getting married in May of next year. My girl and I are both artists. She is the most talented singer/performer I know. We both perform in numerous productions at the Disneyland Resort. I also dabble in other forms of art as hobbies. I have been creating very personal, abstract paintings in my free time for several years now. I also have painted black and white portraits as gifts for loved ones, as well. Facing the next, new, EXCITING chapter of my life, I have decided to sell all of my artwork to fund our honeymoon. I am holding an online "silent auction" for all of my abstract works, and also offering to paint portraits (and abstracts) on commission. 100% of the money my artwork draws in will fund the honeymoon for my Dream Girl and I. Each work that I have painted (though abstract) is a snapshot of the emotions that I was feeling at the time in my life, and hold great personal and sentimental value. I hope that in viewing them, you are emotionally moved as well. I have never had my works appraised or showcased, so I don't have any idea what prices they would go for out on the art market. I never thought that I would sell ANY of them, but with a wedding and honeymoon on the horizon, my heart is telling me that now is the time.

Statement
BIDDING DETAILS: To view my artwork, you can click on the profile picture on this page, or visit http://www.myspace.com/honeymoonart . If you find a piece of artwork that you would like to bid on, or have any questions about anything, you can e-mail me at honeymoonart@gmail.com . Bids will be welcome between 08/15/07 and 09/19/07. After September 19th, the highest bidder on each piece will receive the item for the amount of their bid. If you live in the area, I will deliver your artwork by hand. If not, a shipping charge will be added to your winning bid. ARTWORK DETAILS: The size, medium, and further details of each piece are listed as captions under the pictures of the artwork on each website. All pieces are the ORIGINAL works painted with my bare hands. There are NO copies of any of the works. EACH PAINTING IS ONE-OF-A-KIND. Each work will be delivered on the original canvas mounts (Please note that none of my works come framed!). I will also include a signed certificate of authenticity with each work. PORTRAIT COMMISSION DETAILS: You can view examples of some portraits I have painted, along with the real picture that I used to create the work on the websites listed above. Commission charge will be set based on the size of canvas on which you would like your work painted, along with the complexity of the photo. All portraits are painted using BLACK AND WHITE paint. ABSTRACT COMMISSION DETAILS: Each of my abstract works tells a story. Each color represents an emotion, and each smear, smudge, stroke, and splatter were inspired by an event, detail, and feeling. The end result may not be the PRETTIEST to the eye, but it is a true snapshot of how I was feeling at that particular point in my life. I WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO INSPIRE MY NEXT ABSTRACT. I want to hear the story of a very emotional time in your life, along with your favorite colors, and what colors represent specific feelings of your own. Taking all into account, I will create (for you) an original, unique abstract based on your experiences. Commission charge will be based on the size of canvas on which you would like your work painted. If you have read this far, I THANK YOU from the BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Even if our story or my artwork do not move or inspire you to bid, PLEASE pass this message along to ANYONE in your e-mail list, or any art collectors you may know. I truly appreciate anything you are willing to do to help send my sweetheart and I on the BEST honeymoon imaginable. Again, if you have ANY questions, please contact me at honeymoonart@gmail.com . Thank you, thank you, thank you! -Paul
