My name is Beth Eckel. By day I am an Art Director at a global ad agency based in downtown Dallas. By night I am an avid painter, mixed media connoisseur, and photographer.
Art and creativity flow through my mind and pour into every aspect of my life. I am fueled by every experience, every emotion, and every image of every day. My passion comes from taking a vision and expressing it in a symphony of color, shape, depth and composition. I am drawn to high-contrast organic form and asymmetrical balance. I am influenced by fluid line, soft complex shapes of the human figure and rough textures such as weathered wood and modern grunge.
I am inspired by nature, from the magnitude of beauty stretching the length of a landscape to the magnificent detail in the patterned veins and spotted colors of a single leaf. I am also inspired by technology, typography, architecture, music, and human behavior giving my art a twist from the traditional.
As an artist, I find beauty in everything. Everything is inspiration and anything can be used in art. I put my heart and soul into everything I create. I externalize every feeling with no barriers, no boundaries, and no filters. Like a journal, my art tells the story of my life. My purpose is to create. My calling is to translate message, emotion and experience into art.
