Biography
|
|
I have been captivated by both the arts and science from an early age. I received my art training in New York City, at the High School of Music and Art and Cooper Union Art School. In addition I have a chemistry degree from the University of Michigan and I have worked as a research mass spectrometrist until 1992 when I became a full time exhibiting painter and printmaker.

Statement

|
THE VESSEL SERIES: This suite of acrylic paintings explores still life as both texture and metaphor. Round voluptuous vessels are mirrors of the human female form and function. I select classical forms for repositories, vases, jugs etc, and juxtapose them with fragments of familiar forms: windows, computer keys, lattices, stippled walls, etc.
