Biography

My name is Jenn Shepherd. I live in Boulder, Colorado where I spend my days teaching and creating art! I have been creating art my whole life and have been to several art schools before receiving my B.F.A. in fine art.
For me, art is about seeing things in a certain way and trying to recreate that magic on paper! For some reason, I have always been blessed with the ability to draw accurately and realistically and enjoy finding new and exciting subjects that inspire me.
One of my favorite subjects is my hilarious Welsh corgi named Frannie. I enjoy drawing large portraits of her because of her mesmerizing, human-like eyes! I also enjoy drawing people or as I like to call them..facial landscapes! When I am not creating realistic drawings, I love to "let loose" and do abstract/surreal watercolors and collages!
