"Of all our human experiences, it is our interactions with others that have the greatest impact on us. The commonality of being human, that binds perfect strangers, is to me, the greatest bond that exist. When capturing a figure or face on a blank canvas, I aim to magnetize and emphasize this bond. I want the viewer of my art to feel a soulful connection to the person they are looking at, forgetting the two dimensional object that stands in front of them, and entering a subconscious experience of human connection. Whether through simple line or intense color, I aim to capture a moment of connection, and like a photograph, freeze it in time. It is my goal as an artist, to not just create beautifully aesthetic pieces, but to capture, recreate and inspire a feeling."
