Biography

My name is Shauna Nelson and I grew up in Montana's Bitteroot Valley. All of my work has been done in the Valley thus most of my work has been inspired by it.
I went to college at The University of Montana Western, and took many art courses as well as teaching courses there. I have three dogs and one cat and my husband and I are both Teachers. We are also both very in love with art and all of its various forms.
My dream is to eventually teach art in public school or in a studio. I love to see people enjoy art as much as I do and want to help them to be able to create their own.

Statement

The vast rivers, streams and towering mountains of the Bitteroot are what inspire and help me to create.
I believe art is everywhere you just have to open your mind and look for it. Everyone has their own style and vision of what art is and each is beautiful in its own right.
