Et angelo ecclesi?Sardis scribe: H? dicit qui habet septem spiritus Dei, et septem stellas: Scio opera tua, quia nomen habes quod vivas, et mortuus es.
Esto vigilans, et confirma cetera, qu?moritura erant. Non enim invenio opera tua plena coram Deo meo.
In mente ergo habe qualiter acceperis, et audieris, et serva, et ponitentiam age. Si ergo non vigilaveris, veniam ad te tamquam fur et nescies qua hora veniam ad te.
Sed habes pauca nomina in Sardis qui non inquinaverunt vestimenta sua: et ambulabunt mecum in albis, quia digni sunt.
Qui vicerit, sic vestietur vestimentis albis, et non delebo nomen ejus de libro vit? et confitebor nomen ejus coram Patre meo, et coram angelis ejus.
Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis.

Lembra-te, pois, do que tens recebido e ouvido, e guarda-o, e arrepende-te. E, se n? vigiares, virei sobre ti como um ladr?, e n? saber? a que hora sobre ti virei.
Mas tamb? tens em Sardes algumas pessoas que n? contaminaram suas vestes, e comigo andar? de branco; porquanto s? dignas disso.
O que vencer ser?vestido de vestes brancas, e de maneira nenhuma riscarei o seu nome do livro da vida; e confessarei o seu nome diante de meu Pai e diante dos seus anjos.

(And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.)
