Description:
It is difficult to see by the photo, but this gourd grew wedged between the branches of a tree, causing an interesting 'pinch', which I used to create the swan's neck. Painted with acrylic gouache, I used iridescent paints to achieve the shimmery feathers. She sits on a lily pond, crafted from a separate gourd piece. This is one of my absolute favorites.
