Statement
|
My pictorial search is a constant spiritual quest. Inspired by what I saw and by what I feel, images, often surrealist, come to me in head, carrier of feelings which I shall try to translate by colours, forms, textures, lines and lights.
To begin, I shall realize these images with the help of a representational drawing which will respect the academic laws or will break them as the fancy took me. Being made, I shall have always present in mind that my purpose is not to tell a history but to return an emotion. Then, I shall try hard me, by using all the meaning possibilities that my medium offers, to return this plastically interesting image. The result should exceed the simple illustration.
At any time during the execution, my work should evolve. A too similar final result to the image that I had in mind at the beginning would leave me dissatisfied. I make it one's duty to be receptive to all the forms that will set my work during its realization. A line, a spot, a colour or a texture can modify it completely.
