Statement

God has endow us with Love and Creation in this world where inspiration for creativity filters through our imagination to create new forms and ideas in poetry, music, and art. At an early age, I was taught to sketch, draw, and do craft work at home with my mother, and I watched my father do sculptures from clay. I learned from my parents to be creative. I knew that I had the talent to become a self made artist, and this is what I am today. As a creative artist, I am between two cultures, american and puerto rican, and I express it through my poetry and art. As an independent artist, I get inspired to create something new with my own style. Sometimes, I find that space in time to fulfill my creative endeavor, it's an instant inspiration to do the work. When I begin a painting, time comes to a halt, time and space do not exist, every creative detail is transferred onto the canvas in some expressive way and am in a deep serenity with creativity. The completion of my art work is a wakeup call into the world and, I'm back with a clearer perception of everything around me and that the work is finished. Every detail in the painting is an instant analysis and, I do not hesitate to correct this and that with my paint brush. Then I lean back and say - this is good - perhaps my painting has a unique expression in the art world and, I want someone to see my work.
