 | | Biography | | I am a self taught artist. Most of my business involves drawing custom portraits from my clients' photographs. I have loved to draw my whole life.
In 1993, I had twin baby girls. I wanted to find something that I could do from home so I could stay with them. I tried several things without much success (because they were non artistic jobs!)
Then one day in 2000, I sent some examples of my art to a friend by email. He asked me what I would charge to draw his sons. I had no idea what to charge! He insisted on paying me, and realization hit me that THIS was what I should do - the answer had been at my feet all along, it's just that I had always taken my art ability for granted. I also didn't think I could make any money doing art, so I pushed the desire to create down.
In the last few years,
I have been honored to have many repeat commission art customers and to have illustrated some books, so now I can say I'm a 'published artist,' and it is like a dream come true to me. | | | | Statement | | | | | | Exhibitions | | Published Art:
