Biography
Drawing has been my creative outlet for most of my life. I used it as an escape from reality while growing up. I didn't start to pursue it passionately, however, until 1998. I took an interest in creating portraits of wildlife, looking to express the life and character within the animal. I soon found the desire and inspiration to use human characters as my subjects, choosing those that seemed to reach out and demand my attention. It is my desire to reflect life in my paintings, capturing the mood and personality of my subject and revealing the soul within the character. I like to deviate from the norm and create pieces that stray from tradition. I am continually looking for new techniques and inspiration, seeking to further develop my talents as an artist. It is my desire to express the very essence of the soul through my work.

Statement
As an artist, Human and wildlife characters are my focal point, being drawn to them by their expression and personality. I am fascinated by the different characteristics in each subject. I seek to reflect the very essence of the individual(s) in my paintings, revealing the soul within. As a perfectionist, I am very attentive to detail and have a tendency to become absorbed in my work, pouring myself into each piece. My desire is to create bold and expressive pieces. I try to captivate the viewer with subjects that seem to reach out and demand attention.
