Biography

Hello, my name is Albert Tonks and I live in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, with my wife Chris and two children.
I am not a full time artist, as I work as an ambulance technician with the Hereford & Worcester Ambulance Service, but I do paint as much as I possibly can.
All prices includes delivery within mainland UK. Outside the UK, delivery price will be ? 20.
The paintings are not framed, as I would rather leave the choice of a frame to the buyer.
I am totally self taught and I have been painting seriously since the late 1970's.
I used to show my art in local building societies and libraries, where I obtained a number of commissions, but unfortunately, I ended up painting mostly people's pets from photographs.
I now paint what I enjoy, and hopefully, other people enjoy them too.

Statement

I enjoy painting both in oils and watercolours, and in a number of different styles, but I particularly enjoy painting landscapes.
I can never visualise the day, that I will only paint one subject matter. I find that painting in different subjects and styles is both stimulating and rewarding.
