I have been painting since I was a child. Self-taught at first and then formally trained through various courses and a fine art degree. And back to self-taught in continous research of different materials and their properties.
Studied Sculpture at Winchester School of Art (U.K.), printing at Arteleku (Spain), welding (Spain), drawing, illustration, painting and photopraphy (Chile).

Even though I have trained as a sculptor I can not negate my love of colour and the texture, the luscious plasticity, of paint. The medium and its possibilities are for me a constant source of research and experimentation.
But in a higher form, painting is a constant search. But I do not know what it is that I am searching for as each painting is finished it eludes me yet again. A sense of awe. And in this search I find myself tending towards abstraction, a release from the restriction of recognizable physical forms, a freedom to enjoy colour, form and texture for their own sake; the essence of paint. At least for now.
