Biography
|
Sybille is an author and illustrator, creating colourful illustrations for her own and other author's books.
She mainly concentrates on illustrations for children, but also loves painting flora and fauna and everything else that takes her fancy, and works as a web and graphic designer.
Her images are all created on the computer using Corel Painter. Unlike most computer created art, her images retain a " traditional" media feel. The great advantage of working like this is that it cuts out the " middle man" , in this case the scanner. Scanning in art work always means that the image has to be enhanced using image editing software to recreate the colour intensity and clarity of the original. This whole step is unneccessary with ditigal painting, ensuring that the image is always at the highest quality possible.
Sybille also uses InDesign to create flyers combining her art and text, and Dreamweaver to design websites.

Imagination, emotion and surprise are what allow a piece of art to touch the beholder. A perfect technique is not enough.
