Sharon Cummings, M.A. received her degree from the University of Tampa. She has worked as a professional artist for over 12 years.

Statement
|
|
Art is a gift of the spirit. It is the best way for me to share my soul with as many people as possible. When I paint, I try to visualize the person who will make a home for my artwork. If I am painting a modern or geometrical, I might see someone that has a great sense of style and an appreciation for detail. A landscape or floral makes me see someone that has a love of nature and appreciates the innate beauty and brightness of the earth. Abstracts bring to mind a person that is open and willing to think outside of the box. I am an artist who often paints in a raw style. Anyone who seeks out art is on a journey that requires intelligence and a mind without boundaries. All of my artwork is in loving memory of Dorothy Gay Denham, a wonderful artist who took an interest in her granddaughter's desire to paint.
