Biography
|
Kenya Y. Coleman is a native of Dallas, Texas, and have been actively creating Art in the fields of drawing, watercolor, fibers, and crafts since around 1979. She began her art career at the tender age of 4 y transforming the alphabet into animals! The Texas landscape and everyday people mostly influence her works, as well as her favorite artists Caravaggio, Rene Magritte, Giorgio De Chirico, and stanley Mouse. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts before attending The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She taught arts and crafts for local youth organizations and worked for local art supply retailers. Today, she is the mastermind behind an online gallery and gift shop called Each Their Own.
