From the ASKART.com list of listed North American artists, "Kelly Kautman-Dyer, is the middle child of a large family born to her Hungarian mother and Bohemian father. Her artistic career began when she was able to hold in her tiny hands whatever artistic implement she could find. Her natural ability to put on paper what she sees is what propelled Dyer to teach herself artistically. Her grandfather was an avid photographer and painter. Her grandfather's brother was a gifted self-taught sculptor. Both of these men are Dyer's artistic mentors. Dyer's love for art and her passion to bring notability to her artistic family is the unwavering drive behind every work she creates."

Statement

I like to dauble in my different art genres, but my love for the human form is what I prefer to focus on. I sculpt and paint the visions I see within my mind's eye. The mediums I prefer most is clay, acrylics and watercolors. My art is considered Naive Art and/or Outsider Art. Within those disciplines, I create abstracts, pop art, and expressionistic works.
