Having developed a desire to reveal my inner most self, artwork allowed me to freely express myself. As a young man, I was inspired by my native country, Haiti. The natural untouched landscapes never failed to motivate my creative nature. Therefore, I am influenced by realist and naturalist styles.
In my earlier years, I experienced the urge to convey my stance on life through vivid colors. I first started with water colors, soon after I was exposed to oil painting which sparked my admiration for my current technique of oil painting. Originating form a former Franco-European Caribbean country, I am heavily influenced by the likes of Cezanne, Renoir and classical pieces.
Presently, I am able to spend the majority of my time, fulfilling a lifetime's desire of producing artwork for any and all who would appreciate it. I am regenerated and newly inspired at this point in my life, albeit 40 years later.
I am pleasantly surprised that I am able to dedicate time and concentration to developing my artwork and pushing myself, far surpassing my limits. As observed in my earlier works I am still transforming my style. I was earlier influenced by provincial life in Haiti and now natural landscapes seem to entice me.
I hope to communicate my happiness and awe of our beautiful surroundings to those who would enjoy and appreciate it.
