Statement
|
There is a strong emphasis on colour, texture, line and composition in my work. After spending a part of my childhood in the Maritimes and the West Indies I developed a love of travel. Like many artists, my work has been enriched by these experiences. I combine a knowledge of art history, which tends to be a Western interpretation, with the artistic expression of other non-western cultures that are rich in iconography, pattern and textures. Often, there are references to Myth and Symbolism in my work.
My works are seen in a number of corporate and private collections in North America .
