 |  | Biography |  | Zhangli was born in Beijing, China, in 1966, and began to show great love in painting from childhood. Later in 1987, he entered the most famous fine art university, Centre Academy of Fine Art of China where we may find the most excellent professors, teachers and best students majored in art. The year Zhang passed the entrance test his university just received four students for faculty of Folk Fine Art from applicants from all over the country. The four-year study enabled him grasp the great technique of Chinese traditional painting, which helped him make a series of successful comic-books about classic ancient Chinese story, and after graduation Zhang also went to Japan Kyoto University for further research on comparative study on Western and Eastern art. Now Zhang is working in the art institute of an university in Beijing, as associate professor, meanwhile he is still putting himself on art works with Chinese traditional painting materials.
