Biography
|
Oswaldo Pullen, 56, is a Brazilian Painter, born in Rio de Janeiro and living in Brasilia, the Country's capital, since he was a teenager. In his childhood he liked to draw with coal on the roadway: cowboys, mountains, dogs, everything was later washed under the angry look of the gardener.
At twelve, he bought his first art book, "Anatomy and Drawing" by Victor Perard, and from that moment on, all the paper he could get his hands on was not enough to hold all his pencil drawings, quickly followed by ink ones.
His first experience with life drawing and painting was at college, where as an architecture student he had classes on art related matters. Later he left college, but carried with him the indelible marks which led him to his final destination, the visual arts.
On the next twenty years he worked with drawings, monoprints, and during the eighties, also with cartoons.
On the middle nineties he started to explore oil and acrylic over canvas, first in landscapes, and later, painting human figures, mainly female nudes.
Today, he work straight at the computer, using image editors, and his talent and imagination.

After 30 years dealing with brushes and paint, I discovered I was at the 21o century, and now I mainly use the computer to do my paints.
But, my style and the things and people I like to apreciate and paint, are the unique way I can go on my art.
