I was born in Iowa, in 1931. Since the 1940's I have been a resident of Seattle. In 1954 I graduated from the University of Washington, with a degree in architecture.

Although architecture has been my livelihood I also have a great passion for art. The series that I have created consists of more than forty sets of acrylic two-dimensional figures which in each case are closely related with an adjacent acrylic painting.
The use of textures has been liberal to create more interest, and a third-dimensional effect. The figures and paintings change with the angle and intensity of the light.
Life is full of endless relationships and situations, and I have taken great delight is exploring and interpreting many of them.

My primary place of exhibition has been at an all-volunteer art gallery in Seattle called "Art/Not Terminal." Usually only one set at a time, so as not to overun this fine establishment, since my works are quite large.
