Biography
I've worked as a fine artist for 25 years. It has taken some time to find my personal expression, and having a studio space in Philadelphia has helped the focusing process. At a young age I didn't know exactly what I wanted to paint but was very sure of what I DIDN'T want to paint - although I was capable of rendering what I saw, I really wanted to go abstract.

Statement
Along with intense color, most of my work employs collage in one form or another. It has become over time a metaphor of our human existense and lifestyle: fragmented and a mix of thousands of images that leave pieces of impressions on our visual psyche as we race through a day. Like the mix of genes and experiences, we are cut-and-pasted one of a kinds; some pieces covered over but still remain; some wishing to be forgotten. The shapes are ambiguous, organic remnants expressing a mystery of the incomplete and what remains to come, all immersed in sexual satire.
