Stephanie Moore

Biography
Stephanie has been making art since she could hold a crayon. Selling her first portrait at age 9 to her teacher, she was encouraged to pursue her artwork. She remembers drawing what would later become the C3 Corvette Stingray - and has owned three in her life. Her last Corvette, which she designed and customized, was featured in Corvette Fever Magazine and won numerous Best of Show awards. (Check out her Corvette at:http://www.corvettemagazine.com/2001/January/rr/Rrp6.asp ). Stephanie's work is characterized by a passion for color and texture and is informed by her innate sense of graphic design. As the former award-winning Art Director for such organizations as the San Diego Zoo and Young & Rubicam, she draws upon a well of knowledge in her quest for stunning and unique designs. She is also a supporter of WWAR.com, World Wide Arts Resources. In addition to creating heirloom-quality rugs, Stephanie writes professionally on a wide variety of issues as a consumer advocate and civil rights specialist. Researching and analyzing legal topics for consumers; employment law, landlord/tenant issues, and consumer fraud, her legal research and demand-for-action letters have enabled her to recoup thousands of dollars for people. Read her various articles on www.ConsumerAffairs.com. A vocal animal advocate, she is often overheard spreading the word on the importance of spaying and neutering, as well as adopting from shelters rather than buying from a breeder, to anyone who will listen. Stephanie contributes her time and energy to a variety of volunteer activities, and sets aside 10% of every sale for homeless shelters or the Humane Society.

Statement
Decorating any space takes tremendous vision and energy. Because you know that every choice you make will reveal who you are, you carefully consider every detail; including the area rugs. But why limit yourself to common, mass-produced or outsourced rugs when you can have custom, handmade-in-America art for your floors? I am the only Custom Area Rug Designer with over 30 years experience as an award-winning Graphic Designer and exhibiting Fine Artist. My ability to translate your vision into reality has been well-developed over the years. My custom area rugs are a natural extension of my work in painting and sculpture and are approached in the same artistic manner: informed by a lifetime of artistic experience, an encyclopedic knowledge of architectural styles, color theories, and design principles. Whether hung on a wall, or laid on the floor, each piece is heirloom-quality. Specializing in exceptionally unique designs, I blend textures and colors in a painterly style, always keeping my client's need paramount. I can incorporate cording into seams and braided edges for truly magnificent statements in design. I farm out no work, making every rug completely by hand - from design to completion. Each piece is signed by me for authenticity.
